about Me

Andrés Hermida is a Colombian-spanish Filmmaker, Writer, Director, Actor, Executive Producer, Producer, and Cinematographer, splitting his time between Savannah, Georgia, and Cali, Colombia.

With a BFA in Film and TV from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), he has turned his passion for storytelling into a decade-long career across various roles in the industry.

He started his journey at 13 with the short film "KA" (2013), directed by my sister Gala del Sol. Since then, he’s been involved in over 50 productions, constantly pushing the envelope in narrative and fashion films.

As an executive producer at Gala del Sol Films, Andres collaborates on projects that blend creativity and innovation, aiming to elevate storytelling to new heights.

My TED Talk, "Magical Realism: Embracing the Absurdity of Latin America," reflects my deep-rooted passion for the rich, surreal aspects of Latin American culture.

I’m dedicated to boosting foreign investment in Colombia's film industry through international co-productions that spotlight Latin stories worldwide.

Tech-wise, I’m skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine, Final Draft, Blender, and Polycam.

Based in Savannah, GA, I welcome inquiries and interest in collaborations. Feel free to reach out via the contact info below.
